Welcome

This site has been designed to give you information about our school and I hope you find it helpful.

Clermiston Primary caters for children from Nursery age to Primary 7. We aim to provide high standards in learning and teaching that will equip our pupils in learning for life. We value a happy, caring and safe school within which friendships are developed and good behaviour is positively encouraged. We aim to provide high quality learning opportunities that promote very good levels of achievement. We value the school community and encourage our pupils to take responsibility and work in co-operation with each other in an honest and fair environment.

At all stages the curriculum is based on a wide range of teaching activities. The pupils will gain knowledge and understanding in the broad range of curricular areas with a strong focus on the basic skills of reading, writing and numeracy. Increasingly information and communications technology helps support learning activities.

We work closely with our Cluster primary schools and our associated secondary, The Royal High School.

Links between our school, the home and the wider community are important and we welcome the support of everyone in the life of the school. The  Clermiston Parent Forum/Council contributes very positively to our work.

Yours sincerely
